What we would like to see
The foundation of our social media activities is a tolerant, polite, respectful, constructive and responsible culture of communication and discussion. Needless to say, we adhere to copyright law and respect intellectual property rights. We respect and protect the private sphere and the anonymity of those who post comments, and expect all participants to do the same. We look forward to entering into dialogue with you in German or English and will do our best, within normal working hours, to respond promptly to your questions and comments. Any questions raised, comments or responses should have a clear connection with issues dealt with in the ZOiS contribution.
What we do not want to see
We will not tolerate insults, defamation of character, slander, libel, comments containing deliberate provocation or the glorification of violence, or with content that is discriminatory, racist, sexist, homophobic, vulgar, hateful, pornographic, and/or illegal. We do not allow commercial contributions, the expression of anti-democratic views, or the dissemination of rumours in connection with the material we publish. We reserve the right to delete or ignore comments that breach these guidelines, or to block those who post such contributions and to exclude them from future discussions. In addition, the conditions of use of the respective social network should be observed.
The limits of our responsibility
