Kseniia Semykina

Since October 2020, Kseniia Semykina has been a guest researcher at ZOiS in the framework of the Scholarship of the Study Foundation of the Berlin House of Representatives. She received a double Master’s degree in Comparative Social Research at Higher School of Economics and in East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. In the winter semester of 2018-2019, she did a research internship at ZOiS under the supervision of Tatiana Golova. In 2019/20, she worked at Higher School of Economics in Moscow as a lecturer at the School of Media, and as a research assistant at Laboratory for Studies in Economic Sociology. Kseniia Semykina’s has been a board member of DiscourseNet International Association for Discourse Studies since January 2020. Her work focuses mainly on discourse theory; her current research project is devoted to discursive construction of radical feminist identities in the online environment in Russia.
