They join curator and publisher Kateryna Mishchenko to discuss new forms of identity in Ukraine and reframing Ukrainian youth at a time of upheaval.

Participants

  • Jana Antonissen is a journalist with a fascination for stories and what’s behind them. Born in Belgium, she mostly writes for De Morgen and Humo.
  • Kateryna Mishchenko is a Ukrainian writer, publisher and curator. She co-authored the book "Ukrainian Night" (with Miron Zownir).
  • Nadja Scherff lives in Berlin and is currently completing a Master’s programme in Urban Geography at Humboldt University. She sees culture as a catalyst for the development of urban spaces.
  • Chair: Julia Glathe is a researcher at the Institute for East European Studies at Freie Universität Berlin. Her research focuses on the development and conflict dynamics of the Russian migration policy.

The event is part of the series ZOiS Forum.

The ZOiS Forum brings together academic, artistic, and political perspectives on the issues driving Eastern Europe today. Our aim is to make the significance and variety of our region of research accessible to a broad audience. Readings, discussions, presentations, and film screenings take place once a month during the semester.
